ELKALUB supplies specially developed high-performance lubricants tailored to the specific requirements of the respective power tool.
For tools with lifetime lubrication, lubricant distribution is often the most important criterion: on the one hand, the lubricant must be sufficiently mobile to permanently lubricate bearings and gear teeth. On the other hand, the lubricant must also be sufficiently stationary to remain in the housing and not contaminate the sales packaging, even during prolonged storage.
A small installation space and changes in the position of the tool during operation are helpful for good lubricant distribution. If this is not possible, drip-point lubrication can be considered in the design. Depending on the lubrication situation, long-fibre sodium soap greases (e.g. for plate wheel gears in angle grinders), low-stress synthetic greases (e.g. for planetary gears with plastic teeth in cordless screwdrivers) or greases with solid lubricants (e.g. for push rods in jigsaws or hedge trimmers) are used.
Lubricants for cordless power tools in particular must also have smooth-running properties. The starting resistance must remain as low as possible, even at freezing temperatures, to ensure that the tool starts up. During continued operation, smooth-running greases guarantee a long service life and maximum power output. The wear on the battery plug contacts caused by unavoidable vibrations can be controlled with special contact protection greases.

For international after-sales business, it is also important that private label lubricants are globally marketable. In addition to mandatory international regulations on chemical law, minimised hazard labelling with regard to occupational health and safety is advantageous for B2C business.
The plug-in ends of SDS tools also need to be lubricated to protect the tool and mounting shaft from wear during daily use.
